Cost effective energy saving solutions for the home you live in.

At Energy Smart Home Improvement, we don’t just help you to identify cost effective energy saving solutions; we also help you solve them.

With years of experience in various trades, our technicians are qualified to address almost any scenario.  From cold or hot areas of your home, to moisture issues, to high energy bills, we locate and fix the problems.  Most people think home performance is just about replacing windows and installing more insulation, but there’s a science to the way your house performs as a system.  By coupling the whole-house approach to building performance (in which the house is studied as a system of interrelated parts) with our trade experience, technical expertise, and diagnostic equipment, we can move your house towards being a home with a greater level of comfort, lower energy bills, and better efficiency.

We use a variety of different techniques and materials based on what the need is for your house, and we are purposeful about leaving your home more comfortable and just as clean as when we started.  Here’s a glimpse at just how we do what we do.

  • Energy Audit – consists of a customer interview, a comprehensive home investigation that includes the use of advanced diagnostic tools – like a blower door and infrared camera – detailed energy modeling (optional), and a sit-down audit review with homeowners, during which a strategy is developed to improve home performance.  An energy audit is strongly recommended to gain a full understanding of a house’s specific performance characteristics.
  • Weatherization and Remediation – many of the deficiencies identified by an energy audit can be corrected by the homeowner (e.g. air sealing, insulating, replacing weatherstripping, caulking, replacing windows, replacing aging HVAC equipment).  However, some of the more challenging air sealing and insulation issues can be most effectively remedied by qualified professionals.  Energy Smart follows industry best practices and uses the best tools available to improve home performance.
  • Exit Consultation – offers homeowners the opportunity to ensure their expectations are met  and their questions are answered.  In addition to providing high quality service, we pride ourselves in maintaining strong relationships with each and every one of our customers.

With energy costs and environmental consciousness on the rise, there’s no better time for improving energy efficiency around the home.  Contact us at (717) 258-6574 or info@paenergysmart.com to discuss how to make your home more energy smart (and comfortable too!).
